ARTIST STATEMENT: This piece is about the relationship between social media and identity. There is a lot of friction between the ways that one presents their life online and reality. I seek to understand the ideas surrounding the need to share aspects of life online, yet the want to simultaneously disappear from the internet. Where do the online and real self converge and diverge? Does seeing intrinsically involve valuing? Does seeing intrinsically involve judging?
