ARTIST STATEMENT: I paint ordinary mundane subject matter that is familiar and transform and elevate it into colorful images. Rather than present the world as it appears, I find unusual positions to view. Then there is the adjustment of color and light on the images that take on the qualities of past nostalgia and the comfort of memories from simpler times.
