ARTIST STATEMENT: I create new and imagined images out of my photographs, staging scenes that integrate and juxtapose realism with illusion, truth with magic, longing with sorrow, and always with a sense of hope. I combine and manipulate, paint and alter, fuse photographs with painting, reality with fiction whatever it takes to tell a story. It seems that, although unconscious, I’m always looking for relationships or missed connections.
