ARTIST STATEMENT: Shown previously in the exhibition From Bauhaus to Our House at Mobilia Gallery, the color structure is influenced by Johannes Itten, the artist, teacher, and color theorist who was appointed to oversee and teach the preliminary course that all incoming Bauhaus students were required to take. Converge also refers to my studio practice, (the process of both painting and drawing) merging with my teaching practice, (numerous years of teaching Color Theory at SMFA and MassArt).
