ARTIST STATEMENT: Art has been a part of my life since before I was born. My parents, the artist Budd Hopkins and the art critic and art historian April Kingsley, were prominent and influential figures in the art scenes in New York and Cape Cod. I have seen the world as an artist for almost as long as I have been able to see the world, and I have learned that beautiful and challenging images can be found in every element of life.
