20h x 16w x 1d
DESCRIPTION: Photography, Unframed, Archival inkjet print from scanned 8x10" negative
ARTIST STATEMENT: I was once told that a crowbar, hacksaw and U-Haul trailer, employed to collect physically rather than visually would better serve my purposes. While taking a photograph always risks stealing aspects of the subject to one degree or another, outright theft is beyond deplorable. Besides, my aspirations have always been more expository than curatorial. Many of the things I photograph occupy an indeterminate state between their former, sometimes ubiquitous utility and a more contemporary position.
