ARTIST STATEMENT: Larsen's work incorporates aspects of the figure as an empty vessel which is then infused with a series of images from the history of Art and Science. The overlay of images reflect our attempt to illuminate some of the deepest corners of our understanding. As the figure and imagery merge, the body begins to inhabit its own metaphors. The work is as much about stillness as it is about the constant metamorphosis of possibility.
