DESCRIPTION: Books, Manuscripts & Collectibles, Unframed, Cyanotype, Van Dyke Brown Printing, collage
ARTIST STATEMENT: "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children." During these sad times, I have been making unique books that might offer insightful words and related imagery. I use historical photographic techniques, about which I wrote the book "New Dimensions In Photo Processes". I coat light-sensitive chemicals on soft rag paper to enhance the viewer's tactile experience touching art (the pages). I use the sun to expose the paper; the resulting pages are not toxic.
