ARTIST STATEMENT: My practice is a form of a diary, both abstract and figurative. I work in series; investigating ideas and imagery across multiple works of art, and exploring the various corners into which painting seeps. My work is based on observation, using still life set-ups or photos from travels and my daily life as starting points from which to edit and abstract. My paintings, though a record of my own inquiries, memories and curiosities, are both temporal and a-temporal; capturing a moment in time.
