ARTIST STATEMENT: Laura Harvey is a third year combined degree student at the SMFA and Tufts University. Laura makes paintings, mixed media drawings and handmade photographic prints that address relations to the landscape and family. Laura's upbringing in a small farming village in northern England, and her colonial family history constantly serve to complicate how she understands nature, legacy and belonging. Through her art, Laura consents to learning in unlearning in the public eye.
