DESCRIPTION: Paintings, Unframed, Oil paint on canvas
ARTIST STATEMENT: In this work I use the contour of pattern to fill the 2D surface of my canvas. The warm ochre color is in the background and the cool blues are shaded to look three dimensional like patterns that I designed with the architect, Michael Graves, they cover surfaces and create rhythm. Color is the other consideration. As a professional colorist and an adjunct professor teaching color, I am fascinated by it's illusion of movement in 3D space.
