ARTIST STATEMENT: I let colors mix with the unique properties of the oil pastels. These colors form lines of action, dynamic contrast, and peculiar structure. Moreover, I expect feelings to mix through the unique perceptions of each person. I portrayed some emotions in the piece, but what interests me the most is having people perceive the character Mixie matching with impressions they find already inside them.
