ARTIST STATEMENT: The Trees That Hold Me is a photographic celebration of my love affair with trees. What began as a walk in Central Park to ease quarantine restlessness, turned into a wondrous adventure as I slowed down to sit with trees, touch them, and listen to their whisperings. The longer I looked, the more obvious it became that just as life experiences are etched in peoples faces with the passing of time, so are the lives of trees etched in their bark; and that these traces of personal history makes us.
