DESCRIPTION: Paintings, Framed, Acrylic and ink on panel
ARTIST STATEMENT: My intention is to redefine how we perceive, recall and document historical monuments. The paintings venerate mid-century design while simultaneously augmenting and transforming the era's authentic time-worn neon signs. The result is a part documentary, part fictional depiction which includes curated omission and rebellious inclusion. They become cherished objects, glamorized on their pedestals, strangely abandoned, yet brilliantly alive.
